J. Crew & thredUP Offer Groundbreaking Resale Program

Everything doesn’t have to be new to be fabulous!

By Laura Carson Miller

If you’ve known me for any amount of time or read my stories on The List, you know I’m a big proponent of #rewearrecirculaterepeat. I even have a story about how to best navigate resale sites with tips to help you enjoy a positive experience when buying resale items online. While this J. Crew and thredUP collab has been in place for almost a year, I only recently learned about it . Naturally I wanted to immediately spread the word. Read on for the specifics on how you can purchase lovingly used J. Crew items and/or earn J. Crew credit selling your own lovingly used items via thredUP.

Here are links with details on the program:

As a forever fan of #jcrewstyle, I picked up my Clean Out Kit in the Lenox Square J. Crew store last week. This particular store is one of my happy places while I’m also a huge fan of their Avalon location. I’m truly invested, no pun intended, in forever wear as opposed to faster fashion. So many clothes end up in landfills. Shopping and wearing great quality second hand clothing instead of always buying new will impact our planet in both the long and short term. I care about that, not only for myself but more so for my young family members who I want to have long healthy lives here on planet Earth.

I know Elon is working on setting up a colony on Mars but that could be quite a ways off so I think we’d best stay focused on this planet for the foreseeable future. Here’s a head scratcher: what in the wide world will people living on Mars be wearing?
